A) I love them and
B) I kind of despise the other ones (ex. "Party like it's 1983" - no thank you)
Obviously, these trends look amazing on the runway but what can a "normal" girl do to make the trend her own without breaking the bank??
#1) Biker-style jackets/vests - fitted and cropped with zippers, studs and even spikes!
Styling Solution:
Try one of these great "biker/moto jackets" at Forever 21 for under $40!
So, maybe you only wear it a few times this fall and winter but, you'll have a great item for a last minute Halloween costume for years to come!
#2 - Forties and Fabulous - Long lines, nipped at the waist with a belt or without, and a little volume at the shoulder.
Styling Solution:
- Take a shirt dress or even an over sized shirt, pair with leggings and throw on a belt.
- Wear a pencil skirt and jacket that nips in at the waist with killer heels.
- Pull out old trench coats and update them with a scarf or remove the trench coat tie and put a belt on instead.
Don't trust me...go out and look at all the Fall 2009 trends...I'll let you decide which ones I left out on purpose.
